If you’ve never been involved in a similar program before – we’re here for you! Feel free to reach out to our support team here may you have questions that this FAQ doesn’t answer.

What is the ExcelWay App Beta Program?

This program allows our users, customers, and partners to use the brand-new, unreleased mobile app and shape its future through their feedback.

From identifying critical bugs to providing general opinions and ideas about the product, users’ feedback is the cornerstone of the program, leading to the decision to release the ExcelWay mobile app publicly.

How to submit feedback?

Please submit feedback as soon as possible after using the app while the experience is still fresh.

The primary way to submit feedback, whether it is a bug report, an improvement suggestion, or a feature request, is through the Google Play Store listing for Android users and the TestFlight app for iOS users.
You can access these directly through the Play Store or TestFlight apps on your mobile.

Alternatively, you can access them through the ExcelWay App by navigating to the Settings page, then clicking Rate this app.

In addition, you can contact the ExcelWay team if a follow-up call is necessary or if you’d like to submit additional material, such as videos or screenshots.

How will my feedback be taken into account?

ExcelWay is your tool, and we are committed to providing you with what you need the most. Therefore all feedback will be carefully reviewed by our product team and assigned a priority for development.

The product team will set this priority based on several criteria. Among them is the coherence of the feedback with the ExcelWay vision and mission, the consistency of the request with other requests from the community, and the need’s criticality.

Which ExcelWay features will be available to test?

The program’s first phase will focus on the participant’s experience in a workshop and include the primary participant’s features, such as accessing a workshop, adding a card, and voting.

During this phase, users with a facilitator role in a workshop will also be able to access it and use the features mentioned above.

In addition, the ability to create a workshop, set up its activities, and launch a brainstorming or voting session will be made available in the program’s second phase.

The program’s third phase will include the Board module and its features.

How do I install the ExcelWay mobile app?

If you’re an Android user, you should have submitted a registration form with the email used for your Google Play Store account. If not, please fill it out here, and the ExcelWay team will get back to you with the link to access the ExcelWay beta app listing on the Google Play Store.

If you’re an iOS user, you can directly head to this page to register for the program. First, you will need to install the TestFlight App and then the ExcelWay beta app.

How will I know that a new update is available?

The beta phase is an intensive cycle of developing new features, adding improvements, and fixing bugs. New updates are typically released once a week, though our schedule may vary as we work on different projects – we’re working as fast as our fingers can type!

To ensure that you’re using the latest app version, visit the ExcelWay listing on the Google Play Store and click Update if an update is available. On the other hand, if you are an iOS user, TestFlight will email you a link to download the latest iOS version.

How to invite someone to the closed beta?

By submitting this form, you can invite your team or clients to use the ExcelWay beta app. Our support team will get back to them as soon as possible with their registration link.

Is it safe to invite clients to use the app?

Beta products are unfinished. By their very nature, the products being tested will likely contain bugs, and some features will still need to be implemented.

However, you are welcome to invite clients to test the app with you as long as you set clear expectations as to its status.

Does it cost anything to participate in the program?

No, it doesn’t cost anything to participate in the program. Selected users and their teams and clients can enjoy the app’s functionalities free of charge.

However, we’d like you to invest your time in testing. Betas shouldn’t feel like you are spending additional time though, rather than a natural extension of the product you are already using.

Will I be compensated for participating in the program?

Since the beta program aims to get unbiased and honest feedback, no cash payment can be made, and all of our testers are volunteers.

However, we will provide some incentives to members that offer high-quality and helpful feedback.

How do I opt out of the program?

You can opt-out of the program at any moment. To do so, please email our support team at support@excelway.co to let them know that you are opting out, as this might allow another tester to take on this opportunity.
Then, if you’re using the Android beta application, you can uninstall the app by heading to the ExcelWay page on the Google Play Store and clicking Uninstall.
If you’re using the iOS beta application, head to the ExcelWay page on TestFlight, scroll down, and click Stop testing. Then, you can uninstall the TestFlight app and the ExcelWay app.
